Square.  A square configuration enhances close discussions and facilitates eye contact…a singles square table is best for small groups engaged in rigorous, close discussion.

U-Shaped.  A U-shaped configuration allows for an easy exchange of ideas, without anybody being at the “head” of the table, commanding the process.  You can purchase U-Shaped tables, or you can accomplish a U-shaped arrangement with three rectangular tables. 

V-Shaped.  When you angled tables toward the front of the room in a V shape it encourages eye contact and awareness.  This is a great way to keep employees alert during longer, larger meetings.  You can accomplish this with any rectangular tables, the longer the tables, the more employees you can fit on them.

Classroom.  A Classroom arrangement is something you may recall from your elementary school days—rows of “desks” (or tables, in our case) facing forward, with chairs behind them.  Teachers use them because it forces attention to the front of the room without facilitating nearly as much discussion.  Orientation meetings or training sessions are often good times to utilize this arrangement.
